Job Description
The Administrative / Finance Manager is responsible for overseeing the accounting, financial, and administrative functions of the organization in Mexico. This role ensures the accuracy of financial information, regulatory compliance, implementation of internal controls, and alignment with corporate financial policies. Additionally, the position partners with leadership to support strategic decision-making, financial planning, and performance monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Reporting- Oversee daily accounting operations and ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements.
- Manage monthly and annual closing processes.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and/or IFRS in accordance with corporate guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and supporting accounting records.
- Support the development and monitoring of the annual budget and financial forecasts.
- Analyze variances between actual and budgeted results, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Implement and oversee internal controls and financial policies to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with Mexican tax and regulatory requirements (SAT).
- Support internal and external audit processes.
- Coordinate external, internal, and tax audits.
- Ensure financial documentation is accurate and readily available for compliance and review purposes.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Monitor key financial metrics such as profitability, EBITDA, and cash flow.
- Supervise and develop the accounting and finance team.
- Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and team development.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required)
- Professional license in Public Accounting (preferred)
- 8–12 years of experience in accounting or finance
- Experience in multinational companies or international environments (preferred)
- Previous experience managing accounting or finance teams
- Experience in corporate reporting and consolidation is a plus
Required Knowledge
- Strong knowledge of Mexican Financial Reporting Standards (NIF) and/or IFRS
- Knowledge of Mexican tax regulations and compliance (SAT)
- Experience with financial audits and internal controls
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, or similar)

Market Salary Range (Mexico)
For multinational companies in major cities such as Monterrey:
- MXN $80,000 – $130,000 gross monthly
